-Old Ghosts Die Hard- Mr. Fairchild has always been an honest man, so no one can understand why he and his family are suddenly driven from their house. Without a word of objection the family settles in a little house beneath the pines. But each Saturday night his seven daughters sneak back into the house and dance in the empty parlor. All is going well until the night their father is accused of murder and arrested along with their mother. Leaving behind the town they grew up in the sisters are separated across the country and each finds her own way of fighting the injustice done to their family. Determined to get their house back in the process the sisters discover an age old mystery someone would kill to protect. "Fairchild's 7 Daughters-The 12 Book One" All works copyright Carpathia. Wells are intriguing things. You'd think they were nothing more than sources of life-giving water, but in truth they are far more significant than that. Just ask Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob and Rachel, Moses and Zipporrah, or Jesus and Photine. For them, the mundane task of visiting a well became the day when faith met fate. It started on a night with broken glass. First the glass, then the screams, and then the blood. And then, their lives were changed forever. It marked the beginning of her brother's suffering. As Else Schüffen struggles to define everything that is happening around her in Germany 1941, Maximilian faces a different kind of struggle. An adopted Jew in a Christian family, Max faces betrayal and loss, forgiveness and anger. Being a divided family with a Nazi as a brother, his fears become a reality. He must go into hiding, but with a different identity: Henrik Brandenburg, an Aryan shopkeeper. And then there's Else, a young Aryan girl, in the midst of her brother's tumult. Inspired by the non-fictional, historical lives of Sir Joseph Banks, Nicolas Baudin, Captain William Bligh, Matthew Flinders and John Macarthur, this 'coming of age' story is set at the dawn of the nineteenth century. It describes Charlotte, an English orphan, being saved from unimaginable misery by a young Irish Catholic priest, Reverend Sean Simmons. Charlotte cannot dream that she is about to embark on a fantastic journey that will take her from the manored estates of gentrified England to the brutal convict settlement on Terra Australis. Navigating the mire of desperate circumstances and characters she encounters along the way will test her mettle and spirit. Yet, meeting the strange and enigmatic Charlotte will also test every person who encounters her on the journey in unpredictable and uniquely different ways. Charlotte, it appears, brings change; nothing is the same again - least of all, the future Australian colony she longs to call home.

*Highest Rank #1 in Historical Fiction* Shy and awkward Elizabeth Montgomery doesn't think she'll ever find love. As her family's former plantation struggles in Reconstruction era Virginia, she's afraid she'll find herself either betrothed to the wrong man through an arranged marriage, or a spinster living with her widowed father. However, Elizabeth's sister Amelia is vibrant and charming, and sure to secure a valuable match. When two wealthy, eligible bachelors come to her family's plantation home for a visit, Elizabeth finds that she has to depend on her faith more than ever. Edward Stanton is a cocky bank owner's son, and his father, Charles, is pressuring him to take a wealthy wife to create a banking empire. As Edward resists his father's demands, the stakes become higher and higher, pointing to evidence that Charles has underlying motives for forcing a particular match on Edward. Will an unexpected love emerge from so much greed and manipulation? *Completed May 2015*
