Kodak is a teen boy living the life he wouldn't wish even on his enemies, which make his life a living nightmare. Home isn't a safe place either, as his mom doesn't want him to stand out and make her look bad. Whether he's a bad kid or a good kid, she just wants a child who doesn't get in her way, almost as if he shouldn't even exist. Having lived a life conditioned to be quiet he just accepts whatever is thrown at him(literately) without standing up to it. Then all of a sudden his life takes a turn when a new kid named Riley transfers into his school. Riley's cheerful and kind attitude to everything makes him easily likable and bullied at the same time. Riley is an easy candidate to be anyone's friend, but out of almost any kid a school he chooses to talk to Kodak. Thinking that Riley's life is so good, Kodak envies him, but at the same time he can't help but like him due to Riley being his first friend. Deciding he might as well tag along with his happy go lucky friend, he meets many others on the way as well as learning about their struggles. In the end, you never really know what is going on behind the scenes of everyone's lives. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my first real actual story, not a fanfiction, that i'm writing and posting somewhere, ah it's so exciting!There is going to be abuse and bullying in this story as well as possible self harm/ suicidal related things, so if you're sensitive to that then I please advise you not to read. Makoto has fallen in love with Sousuke and vice versa, but they don't know that the other shares the same feelings.
