"Mommy, how did the world end?" Carson asks inevitably. I sigh, remembering when the outbreak first happened. The disaster had yet to hit other parts of the USA. When Carson was almost three months old, we had found ourselves in a city that was safe from zombies. From there, we received news on what was happening and how it happened. If I could have born him into another life or time, there isn't a moment of hesitation when I say I would. I only want to get Carson to a safer place.
