(Crosspost from FF.net and A03 under duaba) Tough as nails and a tongue just as sharp, the child of Water 7 will not be taking any crap from anyone. Not Iceberg, not stupid Paulie, and not this group of misfits that think they can conquer the New World on that badly damaged ship, no matter how intriguing she finds the blonde with the funny eyebrows. - Sanji x OC - T for Violence & Language

Arisa opened the door with her gun at the ready, blood was soaking the back of her shirt but she refused to rely on us. The hostages were inside, she breathed a sigh of relief before motioning for us to join her. "Untie them all, I'll clear the stairwell." She ordered calmly before turning toward the door. My hand moved on its own catching her small wrist. "Why don't you let us take care of that, you're injured." Her glare was frightening, "I know my limits, I'm nowhere near them. Please release me or I shall consider this an act of aggression toward an officer of the law and will be forced to subdue you." "Yikes." Hizashi chuckled and wandered off to untie the hostages. "Consider it whatever you want, it's reckless for you to try and clear the entire building in your current condition." I shot back at her. "You have to the count of three to let go." She hissed. "I don't understand, is it pride, are you trying to prove something here?" "One." I stared down at her in disbelief. Why was she being so stubborn? "Two." "Arrest me, then, I'm not letting you go alo-." I didn't get to finish my sentence and she didn't say 'three' before her elbow slammed into my gut with enough force my vision darkened as all the air rushed from my lungs. Her knee connected with my face the moment I stumbled forward and before I could register everything that had just happened in that split second, I was lying face down on the ground with my hands twisted painfully behind my back. The cool metal of handcuffs rubbing against my wrists brought me to my senses. She handcuffed me!

"If you can give me one good reason, I'll turn myself in to you and allow you to arrest me with no fuss." She closed her eyes as she lounged in the scalding water, "I'll give you a minute." Was she just stalling for time? "You're a pirate." I answered dryly. "Not good enough." She giggled, "What's wrong with gathering a bunch of friends, painting yourselves a flag and exploring all that the sea has to offer? What laws have I broken?" There was an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. Was it possible she hadn't broken any laws? Why was she wanted? "I'm waiting." "And if I don't have an answer?" I asked her seriously causing her to sit upright and look at me with those bright summery green eyes. "Be careful how you answer my next question. It could very well change your life." She warned me with a smile, "Can you in good conscience, arrest me without reasonable cause?" What did she mean by that? I sighed and ran my hands through my untamable dark hair as I pondered her words. "No." "Alright, then I've decided." She beamed. "Decided what?" "I'll marry you." She grinned. "What?! I wasn't asking you!" I snapped at her, "Don't just decide things for other people!"
