Constructive criticism is welcome, but not unnecessary bashing. I understand I'm not perfect, thanks. Also, the first part of this story takes place in the early 1800's, while the latter part takes place in modern times (to find out why you should read it lol :p). Due to this, I have done extensive research to make the times as accurate as possible. With that having been said, the only inaccuracy that I can think of is the fact that the school of Juilliard (lol yup you heard that right ;p) wasn't founded until 1905. But for the sake of my timeline and laziness, we're gonna pretend it was around in 1810, okay? Okay thanks. The Beetlejuice in this fic is based on the one in the musical, not the movie or show. Ominous prophecies and dreams had long foretold the downfall of the cosmos and of its gods and goddesses along with it. It isn't until Volva, a Seeress, foresees the event's of Ragnarok unfold. The three roosters will crow, in Jotunheim, the hall of Valhalla, and in Hel. The horns will sound across the skies of the Nine Realms. Snow and ice will freeze the world. Mountains will crack. Fenrir's fetters will be no more. The skies will turn black. But... it had already begun long before. The gods will meet their fate. They won't be around to hear your final prayer.

After the attack on New York, Loki is sentenced to Asgard's dungeons for the rest of his days. During this time, Jane Foster stumbles across an ancient and powerful source. The Aether. The Dark Elves are awakened and will stop at nothing until they have what is theirs. Thor brings Jane to Asgard in hope of finding a cure, he asks Sigyn for help, but neither can find one. The Dark Elves attack Asgard and a great life is lost. Jane Foster is then put under confined quarters on Odin's orders. Thor is then forced to take measures into his own hands. As a result, Loki is free'd and on The Dark World he fools his brother into thinking he's dead and takes the throne of Asgard. As time passes, Thor and The Avengers are in search for Loki's sceptre on Midgard. Until Tony Stark and Bruce Banner create an artificial intelligence that runs wild and is hell bent on destroying Earth. Sigyn is then called upon to return from Asgard and help eliminate the threat of Ultron and she ends up spending more time on Midgard than intended...

There are the gods of Asgard and Vanaheim and for a very long time the humans on Midgard have thought them gone. Until now. A lesser known goddess in exile has chosen to remain in the mortal realm to live out a simple life; or so she thought she could. Her godly statues beckons her to return when prophecy's of old begin to come to fruition. Abdication and betrayal demands she step back into her power and the princess must learn to work together with the mortals. Her late husband presumed dead has returned to create mischief and chaos and he is here only for two things with a larger threat on the horizon.

A tale sought to be as old as time. A story told around a campfire as the children eagerly leaned in, hungry for the next plot. The story of young gods that commanded the winds and tides, that wove your fate and destiny; gods that rode into battle on the backs of mighty steads, axe in hand, and shield in the other. A story of thunder and lightning, and snakes that writhed through tall grass. A story of love. Asgard and Vanaheim. Two sister realms of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Both realms raged war for centuries over a long forgotten matter. Thousands killed, cities laid to waste. From this war, Freya and Iwaldi, rulers of Vanaheim, strike a truce with the All-Father Odin in attempt to finally bring everlasting peace through the Nine Realms. Sigyn, Princess of Vanaheim, and Thor, Son of Odin, are arranged to marry for the sake of their realms. Neither of them want it. Neither of them love each other. The young God of Mischief, however, brews himself a plan. But, with all the bad luck in the nine realms, Loki falls for the young Princess. Young love blossoms like a flower from its bud. Both families are against it and try everything in their power to keep them apart. It's not an ideal match. The silver-tongued Prince cannot be trusted to keep everlasting peace. Whether it be The Norns, nothing can keep them apart in the end. Until a terrible tragedy bestows them and Loki falls from Asgard. (Based on Norse Mythology.)

This story is going to under some major renovation due to poor writing, lack of consideration for multiple genders, and becuase it does need some major editing. Their romantic feelings towards one another is not a mystery, but will the torment of (Y/n)'s past prove too much an obstacle for the two?
