Frank Iero is a typical loner. The oddball of school who wears skeleton gloves everyday and tons of band shirts. He has two friends, Bob Bryar and Ray Toro. Him and his classmates don't get along. They happen to use Frank as their punching bag of glorified short person. But the town isn't all that everyone thinks it is, a small village like town. There's two paths that Frank can take to school, the pavement or the path hardly used through the woods. Which path would you take if you heard a crazy escaped convict was sighted in town near those woods. If you're Frank Iero, then you're most likely to take the wooded path anyway.

But one mistaken night leads to hardships between the two, leaving Mikey with a question he might not be able to answer, and Pete with a terrible dilemma. Gerard loves working with kids, Frank is fucking tired. The two meet at the hospital where Gerard works and Frank is admitted. Will Gerard's methods work on older kids too? Or maybe Frank just falls for people too easily...? But that's what got him in the hospital the first time, and he is determined not to let that happen again. Ryan likes dinosaurs. Purple ones especially. He was diagnosed with Lukemia when he was three, almost four, aka six months earlier, but he's still not quite sure what that means. But he knows the nice grandma, Ms. Urie, has the same thing he has. He also knows she has a grandson his age who comes to visit sometimes. Though he wasn't completely naïve - he knew that the presence of Gerard's apparently suicidal ex-boyfriend was going to make things difficult, but he didn't know that his intense distrust of the man would start to break down the relationship he'd tried so hard to keep. And then lies upon lies upon lies from everybody start to build, until nobody's sure of the truth anymore. Frank is twenty eight: he's mentally stable for the most part, and well nobody has to know about pills he takes twice a day, do they? He's normal now, he's a person now, he's a fucking adult with an office job and he fucking hates it and that's fine, because he got out of the mental hospital three years ago, and these past three years of mundane nothingness have been the best three years of his life. Ten years ago, or so, Frank was in love with a boy called Gerard with fiery red hair and the personality of a switchblade knife, and ten years ago that boy called Gerard had killed himself. Frank still saw him though: hallucinations, as he knew them to be now, and it took him years in a hospital he never thought he'd get out of to convince himself of his newfound sanity, but he was okay now. Twenty eight year old Frank Iero had been officially 'okay' since he was twenty five. He hadn't seen Gerard again, and he didn't even think about the guy - he was just normal, and he was almost painfully content with being the secretary to someone with a five figure salary. But of course, on one fateful morning in December, that has to go and change, doesn't it? (Technically a sequel to Summertime, but I wouldn't say you need to have read Summertime to understand and enjoy this)

"You can run away with me, anytime you want." I want to get away. Away from the abuse at home, at school hell, but we're not friends. I could never be friends with Gerard Way. He's just some guy that fate seems to drive me towards. His brother may be even more of asshole than him, making my school life living hell and I guess things at home are not too great either. And despite how much of an asshole Gerard Way is, he's the only one that seems to make anything better.

Gerard Way is a virgin. A pathetic, gay, red-haired little virgin. But he was okay with that. People in school avoided him, hell, they didn't even know who he was, and that was how it was. Until a good 'friend' of Gerard's started a rumor. A rumor that was bound to destroy everything Gerard had come to know, and even a little more in the process. Nothing good could come out of this situation, or so Gerard thought. But a certain boy with converse and a lip piercing would beg to differ. (Ok I suck at writing intros. The story will be better, I promise...)

Gerard Way is curious about the abandoned house just outside of town. It has always captured his attention ever since he can remember. Every time he asks about it people say "it's haunted" or "it's empty" or "why are you even worried about a stupid, old house?"
