Dan Howell takes up a opportunity to travel halfway across the world to be an exchange student. Phil Lester is appalled when his parents decide to tackle the challenge of housing an exchange student to 'straighten him out' from his aggressive teenager ways.

Everything was like a puzzle that had yet to be put together. It was like all the pieces were there, but you didn't know where to connect them and how they fit in. Dan was the puzzle, and I wanted to know how to solve it.

Dan is forced into going to a summer camp in the country side of Britain, his mother feels Dan is irresponsible, and would only be getting drunk and fucking about if he stayed at home. WRITTEN 2013. (I have since, gone through and attempted to improve on it).

Part 1 of the infamous series. Feelings appear. Sparks fly. Love rises. Problems occur. Dan is a firm believer that love doesn't exist. Not in adults, and definitely not in high school. He detests silly love stories and petty relationships, posing as 'love', and nothing could possibly change his mind in that. But when new student Phil takes an intrest in Dan, he can't deny that he's interested in the boy. His bubbly personality and hopeless romantic ways draw Dan in.....and might just change his mind in the thoughts of love.
