Joy Cavanaugh's worst fear has become a reality and she is beyond devastated. Finding her fiancee with another woman a few months before their wedding day has left her broken and has sent her life spiraling out of control.
Having shut everyone else out, she turns to the one person she knows she can always count on, her free-spirited best friend, Tiffany, who gives her the strength she needs to take control of her life.
The pair decide they need to get away from it all and are eager to leave their troubles behind. They set their sights on a wild and crazy road trip to paradise where adventure, fun and excitement await them, or so they think.
Meanwhile, Joy's controlling, ex-fiancee, Blake has made some plans of his own as he follows his lost love across the country, determined to win her back.
Joy's budding romance with a handsome stranger could spell trouble for him when he witnesses sparks between them when he arrives. The battle for Joy's affection ensues and when the time comes for her to choose, she is deeply torn. If she decides to forgive Blake and return home with him, she will have to leave her best friend, her dreams of a new life and the man who she's starting to fall head over heels for behind.
Her feisty, best friend Tiffany won't give her up without a fight either since she's never been a big fan of Blake's and can't imagine life without her.
Just when Joy thinks she has it all figured out, a mysterious stranger with some shocking news will forever turn all of their lives upside down and it just might keep her from making the biggest mistake of her life.
Buckle up and get ready to go on a racy, emotional roller coaster ride as Joy puts her once comfortable life on hold and embarks on an incredible journey of self discovery to reinvent herself.
"Decisions like this are never easy. So, you take a deep breath and hope that fate is kind to you." ~Joy
