(bit of a disclaimer) I have re-published this story after months of it being unpublished. this fanfic was first written over a year ago, my style of writing, thoughts, and opinions have changed since then. Words. Something Dan had had trouble with for years. He thought them and he loved them and expressed them, though he could never quite speak them. That is, until I certain black haired boy entered his life.

Phil was mute. He had been since he was 13 after he'd been bullied and picked on at his old school. It first started with he didn't talk to people at school. Then his family. Then no one ever. His mum thought it best to switch Phil to a different school. New school, new people, new chances. But no one could have knew what would happen when Dan Howell walked into his life.

Young Dan Howell, who lives with his alcoholic father, lost his mother to cancer less than a year ago, and is killing himself. Phil Lester, a boy picked on for his weight, lives alone from the rest of the world in a rehab center while trying to recover from severe anorexia. When a concerned teacher suggests Dan seek help, the two lonely worlds collide. Maybe all they need for help is each other. (Rating: Mature! Very angsty! Read at your own risk! Triggers: self harm, eating disorder, suicide. A little swearing. A little smutty, a little fluffy)

He must struggle with depression, whilst new boy Dan Howell desperately attempts to win him over. [Warning: this could be triggering at some points]

"I'm not either," Phil replied, looking to Dan with a sly smile. "You still giving out $5 blowjobs?" Well, Dan guessed, he probably did go to his school. Dan rolled his eyes, "that was a rumor two years ago." Phil laughed, "so I brought $5 for nothing?"
