Kaeden Rogers made his mother a promise.
Three months.
That was all he had to endure.
Three months living beneath the same roof as the father who walked out of his life eighteen years ago. Three months of forced dinners, awkward conversations, and pretending there was anything left between them worth repairing.
Kaeden wasn't expecting forgiveness. He wasn't even sure he wanted reconciliation. But for his mother's sake, he could tolerate Mark Rogers for a few months.
His father, however, wasn't the problem.
Corey was.
His nineteen-year-old stepbrother was everything Kaeden didn't have the patience for-provocative, persistent, entirely too comfortable invading his space, and apparently incapable of understanding when he should leave something alone.
Kaeden knew his type.
Corey liked attention.
More importantly, Corey liked a challenge.
And from the moment Kaeden stepped through that door, Corey seemed determined to make him his newest one.
Fortunately, Kaeden had never had trouble walking away.
At least, that's what he told himself.
