Lauren Jauregui is a lot of things. She's caring, she's intelligent and she's beautiful. But Camila Cabello doesn't notice those things when she and Lauren first come into contact. Camila notices her nervous ticks, and how she refuses to look at her, and how she never furthers conversation. At first, Camila takes that the wrong way, and deciding that Lauren is nothing more than a rude girl who happens to have the same friends as her, eventually stops trying to make friends. It isn't long before Camila realises she's been wrong the whole time. (This work may not be posted/copied/reproduced/translated without explicit permission from the author.)

"I wasn't normal and it was all right. I wasn't normal and it was encouraged. I wasn't normal and it was celebrated." A short slam poem about the daily life of a teen on the autism spectrum, about the roles we are all forced to take and what happens when we choose to break away from them.

....in which I'm going to add information to side characters, write short story requests, headcanons and AUs to my book Our Colours. Also coming along are playlists and songs I associate with certain characters. Inbetween some artwork by Ruby, monologues of characters, songs covered or written by Mike, Connor and Iris and some stuff Clover wrote (good luck reading yourselves through her dyslexic grammar and spelling). I hope you enjoy reading these short stories! I just wanted to let you know, I SUCK at writing short stories. They always get reeeally long. But well. Also, can you tag this story into the category #ShortStory if it has multiple chapters?

Cover image description: A taupe "awareness" ribbon with googly eyes glued on it. The taupe symbolizes the toned-down sensory and emotional experiences of people who suffer from allism, and the eyes represent the obsessive need for eye contact in allistic individuals. Please note: This is entirely sarcastic. I literally just copy/pasted parts from the Autism Speaks website and changed the wording up a bit so it would be about allism. Do you know what allism is? It's a mild to severe lack of autism that affects 67 out of 68 individuals. Symptoms are lack of stimming, lack of deep thought, under sensitivity to sound and other sensory input, and obsession with small talk. Find out more about this terrible epidemic, and how we can tame the monster that is allism.

South England, the 3rd July. Summer fills the town with sunrays and midsummer rain, when Iris moves to the so called "Rainbow Home" for disabled teenagers. While she starts to get used to life in the Rainbow Home, her flatmates still deal with their own problems... Hating to see them having so many problems, Iris tries her best to help them, but realizes soon that some of their problems are more grave than expected. A/N: This story is written in British English. If you don't understand some words, ask kindly or look them up! I'm just more comfortable writing British English and speaking something like an Oxford accent (yes, I chose that myself, I'm German.) -TRIGGER WARNING- This story may contain abuse, mild ableism, discrimination, bullying and amongst others depressive thoughts. If you have issues with the listed themes, I recommend you not to read this story. If you do anyway and end up feeling depressed or triggered, don't say I didn't warn you. Thanks!
