Set 12 years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Lost Years explores the 70 years in between the original series and its sequel, The Legend of Korra. It is based on calculations and things that would logically happen. This story will explore ships and events, though none of this is canon. Katara and Sokka arrive at a new high school that is divided by elements. The Fire Group, the outgoing popular group that everyone adores. The Earth Group, athletic direct people hat can bend earth. The Water Group, the straight A students that go with the flow. The Air Group, these people are so care free they go bald! And the Elementless. These people can't bend and are divided among the school. Will his division start a commotion? These questions are important but it looks like it is the least of Katara's problems.

It's Aang's junior year at Four Elements High School, and things are... different. Zuko and Mai are off at college and have to deal with being apart for the first time in their relationship, while a secret of Zuko's past might be hidden in plain sight. Ty Lee and Azula are starting to repair their friendship, but will it lead to more? And while Toph clashes with her parents, Aang and Katara learn what it means to be a bender in a modern world, all while navigating their first ever relationship.
