Seth's Place: serving dessert, coffee & hugs around the clock. ++++ He cautiously lowers himself down in the seat next to me. I use the sleeves of my sweater to violently rub the tears out of my eyes. If only they'd just stop. My breaths are ragged and I choke on my own words. "I-I I don't need a-anything, t-t thanks." My face is wet and my vision is blurry, but the look on the stranger's face tells me that he isn't going anywhere. "I'm sorry, miss." His voice is calm and soothing, as if he deals with situations like these all the time. "But it's only my first day, and it's my job to make sure that all my customers are happy and satisfied when they leave." I laugh humorlessly. "A-as if food could m-make me f-feel any b-better." I raise both hands to my face, a failed attempt at trying to cover up my hideous state. "Perhaps not," he admits. He counts on his fingers, ticking off one. "So maybe food isn't such a good idea. But how do we feel about coffee?" I finally make eye contact with him, and I can tell that he's genuinely trying to make me feel better. He's not just doing his job. I take a deep, shaky breath. "No, I don't think coffee is going to help me e-either." The stranger frowns slightly, and his brown hair falls in front of his face. "Okay, no coffee either." He ticks off another finger, leaving only one left sticking out. "So as it stands, you've said no to both desserts and coffee, which leads to the only other thing we serve." I blink back tears. "And what's that?" After everything that's happened today, I'm actually quite surprised at how well I'm doing, considering the circumstances. "Do you need a hug?" And that's all it takes for me to fall apart. ++++ In which Seth Wright spends the night trying to piece together Harper Quinn's broken heart. (cover by @SurroundedByThorns)

Being popular isn't exactly the greener side of the meadow, but just one night of getting locked into the school with a "nobody" made Celeste feel normal and genuinely happy. Both of them bring a hidden side to each other. They might disagree most of the time, but that was a little price to pay for falling for their polar opposite.

"Hey there beautiful, wanna go out sometime?" He asked with a slight smirk. "With you?" I asked in a sweet voice. "Sure thing baby girl" He replied. I faced him, slightly moving closer. "You know what I really want?" I asked in a seductive tone. "Mhm?" he asked, his eyes filled with lust. I slowly leaned forward, placing my hands on his chest and leaned towards his mouth. My mouth was inches away from his and he closed his eyes as I smirked with satisfaction. It was working. Surprising everyone, I lifted my leg and kicked him were the sun don't shine. Gasps were heard throughout the hall and Chase instantly fell to the ground, holding his precious jewels. "What the fuck?!" He groaned. In a deadly sweet voice I got down to eye level. "Well now you know how it feels when you break a girls heart". I stood up and walked away. Everyone looked at me with awe stricken faces and I twirled my body around putting my hand on my hip. "By the way the names Avery Blue" I spoke loudly. Flashes of recognition crossed people's faces but Chase was the most shocked of them all. I stared at Chase straight in the eyes. "Karma's a bitch" before turning around and continuing my way to physics class. xx Avery Blue has had enough of being tormented by her classmates and leaves school to return with one agenda. To show everyone who's boss and not to mess with her. She leaves school for a term and comes back hotter than ever and also one major badass. You could say Karma's a bitch. 'A light romance comedy tinged with drama but don't be fooled: the twists will guarantee you an entertaining reading' @officalfuryevans 'A quick, but a very amazing read. I love how it's not cliché and unique. Very different from all the 'Hotline' stories I've read on Wattpad. You should read it.' @ceraunophic 'I rate this story a 5 stars. This story has an amazing storyline and shows that sometimes you just don't get what you want. This is an amazing book with a very well thought out twist ending. This book is definitely not as cliché as I thought it would be, but I think that's a good thing' @thebuch *** "Hello this is Home Dep-" "Oh my gosh I need someone's help ASAP!" "What's wrong?!" "Do you have a zombie apocalypse kit?" *call ended* *** Cover made by: Chatachino Highest Ranking: [8] In Short Story
