But despite that, he keeps a smile on his face because his best friend Sasuke was always there for him. Well, at least that's what it looks like. Sasuke was obsessed with keeping his reputation intact. Because of that, he never wanted to be around when Naruto was bullied. Until one day, Sasuke joins Naruto's bullies in the bullying. Soon after Naruto transfers to a different middle school and 3 years pass by. Sasuke has been drowning in guilt and regret ever since Naruto left. Until suddenly, he comes back and Sasuke tries his hardest to earn his forgiveness. Everyone always saw him as this happy-go-lucky, shameless, ignorant little boy. Sure, he wasn't smart, but he wasn't ignorant. He knew and understood what he was, what was going on. He knew he was the son of Satan. He knew he killed the only man he knew as 'father'. He knew he had to pretend that he was happy, for his brother's sake. He knew he had to pretend he was strong, to protect everyone he cared about. He knew he'd have to play this strong, kind, loyal, joking character. This character that was only a part of him. But he wasn't happy. He wasn't strong. He was Rin. Rin Okumura.

During the battle with Kaguya, Sasuke is fatally stabbed by Kaguya's deadly rods, before he dies, Sasuke gives Naruto the yin seal, and granting Naruto the rinnegan as well. With his new powers, Naruto successfully defeats and seals away Kaguya, but simultaneously gets caught in her teleportation jutsu and gets sent to the Kingdom of Fiore.
