Astrid Hofferson is a normal girl who goes to Berkly High school. She's popular, but not too popular, smart, and a star athlete. She likes it that way and doesn't want it to change. When Hiccup is given the chance to get out of the public's eye and finish high school, he jumps at the chance. It is decided he will "go to another country for his studies," when he will really be going to a small town at the edge of the country. There he meets Astrid, and more new friends.
