More than 60 million people are currently fleeing conflict or persecution around the world. Due to their race, religion or nationality, these people's homes are no longer safe places to live and their governments no longer provide them with protection. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) works around the world to provide refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) with everything they need from psychological care to lifesaving nutrition. We set up hospitals in refugee camps, we help women give birth safely, we vaccinate children to prevent epidemics and we provide access to safe drinking water. Here, some of our teams share their stories.

Vivre dans un monde anti-homo je connais. C'est le monde dans lequel je vis depuis maintenant 18 ans. On ne m'a jamais accepté tel que je suis, jamais. On m'a toujours repoussé parce que j'étais différente, parce que j'aimais et j'aime les femmes. On m'a toujours dit que j'étais le mal incarné, que je n'avais pas le droit de vivre, que ce n'était pas Dieu qui m'avait crée, que j'étais une erreur de la vie. Jusqu'au jour où je suis tombé sur cet être humain qui était lesbienne mais qui ne s'acceptait pas. J'ai dû lui apprendre à s'accepter tel qu'elle était pour au final finir soit au bord du gouffre soit heureuse...

This is a collection of pieces I've written through time, and is yet to write; from my very worst moment, through my very darkest night; in the moments of survival, and the memories of light. "They smile, they lie, and they kiss my naive heart; the sweetest words of sensation. ...But may I be fooled? May I be blind? When it's my own past; my own creation. They hide & they seek, they're close to my soul; all those memories within my darkest of mind. ...But will they stay here? ...Or will I forget?
