Sometime, Tomorrow

It wasn't an angel. It had wings like one, but these wings were pitch black. The creatures back was to me, so I could see all the black veins scrawled across his back, leading from his wings. There was this horrifying snarling noise coming from his direction and I couldn't help but hear whimpering and moaning.
A heavy cloak of dread washed over me as I realized that it was eating something. I tried to make any noise as I backed away slowly, but it noticed and turned around to face me. When he turned, I saw that there were tears mixed with blood streaming down his face. His eyes were just as dark as his wings which caused me to jump. He dropped what he was holding and put his hands on his face as if he didn't want me to see it.
There was a small moaning sound coming from whatever it was that he had dropped. It sounded seriously in pain before it just instantly stopped and here we were- staring at each other in deadly silence.
"Melody... No." I could barely hear as the thing whispered my name. I didn't feel scared, I just felt off.
"W-what?"
"Why? Of all the people- why you." It didn't come out as a question, it came out as a statement of anger.
"What do you mean?" He was in front of me now and I could smell the sickly-sweet smell of blood radiating from him.
"Why the fuck are you here, Melody?"
"I-I don't know. I woke up here." I tried to back away a little more and his face softened before he reached his hand out for me. There were black veins spiraling all along his hand, which confused me even more. "Who are you?"
He retracted his hand and put his head down, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
"You can't know what I believe unless you give me something to work with." I tilted my head to the side and huffed. He sounded familiar and warm, but he looked terrifying. "Who are you and why am I here? Where is here, by the way?"
He chuckled and smiled, shaking his head. "I cannot tell you who I am, but you are in the forest."
