Jocelyn Aviles is perfect, or as close to being perfect as a high school senior can be. She's in advanced classes, volunteers in her free time, all the teachers love her and is all lined up to be accepted into any collage of her choice. The worst part is Jocelyn's so nice it's impossible to hate her. Even after tragedy hits DC she's changing the world, saving lives. Until one day she saves the wrong person. Then she's the one who needs to be saved. It's then that Jocelyn learns something, something vitally important, something that will change her life forever. Because the so called "good guys" were wrong. The heroes arrested the wrong person. Now Jocelyn doesn't know what's right or what's wrong. All she knows is that the people sworn to protect her didn't, but the ones they all hate did. Maybe she's not a hero, but maybe it's not good to be a hero. This is a backstory for an OC from my other book, the New Avenger. However, this story can be read alone. It's set in the MCU, but only touches on major characters briefly. Thanks so much for @ChaosWayne for the awesome cover!

Everything's different now, after the Giant War. So even after arriving home Percy can't tell anyone the truth; not his mom, not his new, rather odd, neighbor, not the friends that he's afraid to be close to. But the truth always hurts and somehow, the truth always shows. Maybe it's a good thing that his new neighbor, Peter Parker, is just a little too observant. Or maybe it isn't. Meanwhile the world is changing. New threats have risen and been defeated. But people are disappearing, people are dying. And even the people who are supposed to be heroes can't stop this. But that's sort of the point. Now though the darkness which Peter has always managed to keep at an arm's length is right outside his front door. Right inside it. Peter can't lose anyone else. Percy can't lose anyone else. Both are sure that if they do they're bound to lose themselves. Now though loss isn't and if but a when. Not a when but how much. Neither of them plan on getting out of this one. Both are sure that there must be someone at fault. But innocence and guilt mean nothing in this blame game, because with all this hurt, with all this death, with all this pain, isn't everyone somehow to blame? And maybe they aren't so different, Peter and Percy. Maybe they can find a way to work together, fight together, stop this together. Maybe together they can find a way to get out of this one, find a way to save even those who don't want to be saved. Or maybe they can't. Maybe they are forever, always, doomed to be just one moment too late. Highest rank- #57 (!!!) Thanks to @CHAOS_WAYNE for making an amazing cover! (actually, she made 3 because I'm indecisive) Also thanks to my editor, who didn't want to be named but is so amazing.
