Soon he can see their relationship is changing, rivalry crumbling away to reveal true, pure, and heartfelt love. John, on the other hand, is hit the hardest by this change, his low self confidence making him blind to Sherlock's advances. Will their love for each other, or more importantly, the foundations of their friendship, survive the onslaught of disproval? Will the homophobic comments wriggle it's way through the cracks in their tolerance and turn their feelings into ash that can blow away at the slightest breeze of doubt?

He was never able to pry into much of Sherlock, and vice versa. But over time, slowly and carefully he gets Sherlock to open up. And there he finds his deepest and darkest secret he holds. But as John's world grows enventually, Sherlocks has begun to shrink - and rapidly. How far will John go to save the boy he has come to love completely?
