She was not going to become the most popular kid in school, partly because it's no longer school. The kids took over a few years ago, and turned into a home for kids who are viewed as psychotic, or, as they call themselves, disturbed. Just like the old school, except now they aren't trying to become something they aren't. With the adults screwing up the world outside the home, more and more kids are becoming disturbed, meaning there isn't enough room in the home. So the former student and revolt leader Amir set up the Games. With the three losing teams leaving, and all the Casualties, he is able to maintain a steady population within the home. The new student that joins doesn't seem to fit in at all, (or is it that everyone else doesn't measure up?) but Amir doesn't let just anyone in, he has to keep everything balanced after all. So what happened to let her join, and is it enough to keep her alive and in the Games?

I walk down the hall that leads into my first period, AP English 3. Suddenly, I feel as if I'm being pulled two ways at once. I sharply turn my head as I hear a ripping sound. Not now! And definitely not here. A purple blue spot appears on the locker/ water fountain. This is when I try to think happy thoughts. I found that that helps a bit, usually. Not this time however. I watch in growing horror as a grotesque figure crawls from the spot, or more specifically, the tear. Upon closer examination, I found the monster to be a mix of a Windell from Supernatural and Golem from The Hobbit. You see, I am the rip in the folds of reality.

I laugh at mom's joke. "What...?" I try to say, but I keep laughing. I look forward in my seat, and then I see it. There is a car coming straight at us. "Mom?" I say shakily. We are on a one car bridge, and the car shows no sign of stopping. She turns to me and smiles, "I love you Mar-" my name isn't halfway out her lips before the car slams into us, and her head is thrown back. My mind swirls near oblivion. This was supposed to be a vacation. The car is flung off the bridge.
