He gets sent on a 'track and report' mission to find information and plot where and what to do at the attack. He tries to do what he is asked, but Phil can't control his emotions around his target. He mostly couldn't stop looking at one phanart piece. It was him and Phil kissing at the radio station. He wanted to try it. He wanted to kiss Phil at the radio station, but also thought is was stupid. When Dan and Phil finally confess their feelings, Dan makes sure he gets his chance at the perfect kiss. No matter how stupid it was.
