My name is Matt Cooper, for the past 3 years I've been living with my girlfriend Lilly and our close friend Hanako in a small house near the sea blissfully unaware that our country of Gallia was on the brink of war. The 3 of us first met at a school for disabled children several years back, that in itslef could be a whole diffrent much happier story. Some might even call it a fairytale. Unfortunately life is no fairytale and can be extremely unpredictable. Lilly is blind and works as an English teacher while Hanako is a journalist who's been left emotionally and physically scared, left shaken after a tragic past. I had very serious heart condition and was studying to become a pilot, hoping I'd make enough money to take good care of the two girls who meant the world to me. Unfortunately they just had to show up and ruin everything. 2 men in army uniforms showed up at our doorstep one morning demanding to speak to me. Once I showed myself I was declared fit for service and was to come with them immediately for testing. I was told that normally people with a condition like mine would be exempted from the draft but with war imminent they needed at least one person from every family to come fight, no exceptions. Lilly was blind and I sure as hell wasn't letting Hanako enlist so I did the only thing I could to protect them, I enlisted willingly and a few weeks later I was in the Gallian Royal Navy. That was 3 months ago a lots changed since then I'm now a certified navy pilot serving on the fleet carrier GRN Renegade. It's been months since I've seen Lilly and I miss her dearly. I did make her a promise before I left though, I promised her that once this wars over I'd return home safe then the 3 of us could live out the rest of our lives happily and carefree just as we did back in school, all I asked is that she wait for me. My name is Matt Cooper and im the ultimate counter terrorist operator. Ive worked with teams around the wolrd like the Japanese SAT, Brazilian BOPE, Canadian JTF 2 and help train recruits for the FBI SWAT. Probably the most impressive part about all this is that i havent even finished high school yet. Why a high school student decided to drop out of school and become a counter terrorist is a story for another time, but anyways moving on. Eventually the headmaster of the famous Hopes Peak academy reached out to me with an offer to enroll. This isnt the first time they asked and i was about to decline them again when one of my friends in the FBI, Jordan Trace stopped me. We had been working together for a little over a year now and we became friends rather quickly. He encoraged me to take the offer, get a fresh start, meet people my age and have a normal happy highschool life. He said my line of work combined with what happened on my last operation will eventually take a toll on me and i needed this...I could always come back when i graduate. He assured me that the FBI will always have a place for me and i should enjoy my highschool days while i can. So i reluctantly accepted the offer and was on the first plane to Japan. When im with her i seem to forget about all the evil in the world and focus on nothing else but her, shes sweet energetic and unpredictable and i just cant seem to stop myself from falling for her. She did more then just befriend me that first day, she helped remind me that some people in this life are worth fighting for.
