There's something that cheesy romance novels forgot to tell you about falling for your bestfriend. Not all stories like that end up happily. Sometimes you simply end up helplessly stuck at the friend zone or worst become nothing but strangers. And that's what exactly happened. ______ When Chase Braden confessed his undying love to his long time best friend - Mandy - during the last week of junior year, things took a different turn from what he'd expected. An unlikely awkwardness grew between them breaking the bond they had. Now on their senior year, Chase is determined to get his best friend back even only as that -a friend. But in order to do so, he's gonna be needing some help. And that's where Olive Tesley comes into the picture. Olive was this school paper photojournalist who wears nerdy glasses for fashion and prefers jeans over skirts. But don't let her plain-Jane looks fool you though. Little did the people in their town know, that the voice behind what they knew as 'Miss T' - a mysterious DJ at the local radio station who's known for giving out advises on love - was actually Olive. And this was a secret she was determined to keep. But to her dismay, fate was playful and the next thing she knows, she was unwillingly agreeing to help Chase with his crazy plan. How? By being his part-time adviser / part-time girlfriend. COVER BY: @_teenagers

Jas gives me a sympathetic look. She sighs heavily, long nails tapping against the wooden table, dodging the 'Missing' posters scattered all over the surface. "Maybe," she finally says, "Just maybe, he doesn't want to be found, Ava." I clench my jaw. "No. I refuse to believe that. He's not like that." "What do you know?" Jas snorts, finally withdrawing her hand from the table and turning back to look at me. "You don't even know him." xx Ford Wilson was in three out of four of Ava Jackson's classes. They had one mutual friend, did a project together once in sophomore year, and had the same lunch. When Ava's car had broke down, she had even ended up parked outside of Ford's house, asking for gas. In Ava's life, he was everywhere. And yet, she didn't notice him until he was nowhere to be found.

"Are you joking?" "No." "So you really wrote a hate letter to Aspen Hale and it accidentally ended up in his locker?" Carson Mathers didn't mean to write a hate letter to the school's golden boy, Aspen Hale -- okay, maybe she did. But she didn't mean for it to end up in his hands. She also didn't mean for her to like the rush of adrenaline she got when she delivered the next couple of hate letters. And she certainly did not mean to set up a bet; for her to write seven letters over a course of one week, and for him to try and catch his hater by the end of the week. But Carson doesn't mean to do a lot of things (like falling in love). [humor #107 / teen fiction #137] cover - @aciddaisies_ | © pufflings - two thousand & fourteen |
