Lori is a 7-year-old girl who Lena was paired up with a few years ago as part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America programme. Lena takes Kara to meet Lori, and she immediately can see why her best friend is so taken by the girl. However soon after this Lori finds out that her foster parents are moving, and can't take her with her, leaving the young girl in emotional turmoil. Lena desperately wants to adopt or foster Lori, but she can't, due to the various attempts on her life, so Kara steps up to the plate, and offers to foster Lori. or Kara fosters Lena's "little sister" from the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America programme.

Kara Danvers opened up her coffee shop 5 years ago right before a new company bought the hospital down the street and made prices of real estate go way up. The blonde has found great success in the downtown area of National City. Her sister, Alex works as a cop but comes in to help out when she has free time.
