This story is a fiction work that tells the tale of a young Cherokee girl who is forced to walk the historic Trail of Tears and a boy who comes to America from England. I tried to be historically accurate with the story. It is a tale of love and loss. I have decided to update it twice a week now. Every Sunday and Wednesday, two new chapters will be added to the story line. I hope you all enjoy it!

"What kind of love are you talking about? Real love? If you're looking for real love... you've chosen the hardest task of all." This is a love story of two young people of two different cultures. Kohana Wapasha is a Lakota (Sioux) Indian of the Rosebud tribe. Ava Beaumont is a mixed woman of black and white descent. This is a story beyond just skin color and cultural differences for love on its own is complicated. He was enchanted; a beautiful woman...not like his people...but not like the white skins either. Her skin was a rich tan, like the hide from his moccasins...her lips like roses...her clothing so foreign...and hair that was...different. He'd never seen anything like it before, and was entranced as he dared to stroke his hand against it. Even as she had fainted, her expression was still etched with pain, light whimpers escaping her lips. He couldn't leave her here to die...not like this... (A little disclaimer, none of this story was meant to be historically accurate and has been created with a romantic and maybe unrealistic viewpoint of an interracial romance set in the colonization period of the new world. I mean no offense to all racial groups with this story and only hope that even with my ignorance, it can be enjoyable. If it is well received, I'll write on ^^)
