So Fire Emblem is one of my favorite game series and I've written a few Fire Emblem: Awakening stories before. With Fire Emblem: Fates, I now have plenty of new ideas so I wanted to write a few Reader Inserts with some of the new characters, starting with Elise. (Seriously, she is too cute.) In Awakening, Lissa was always my match for Robin; and while Elise is not my go-to choice for MU waifu, she is one of my favorite characters. Anyways, Fates introduced a lot of new classes to the Fire Emblem series so I thought I'd use some of them in my Readers. My next Fire Emblem Fates Reader Insert featuring the youngest of the Hoshido Royal Family, Sakura. (What a sweetheart.) Another fun one to write as always. This time the reader is a Malig Knight which I thought was a very cool addition to the Fire Emblem classes. The magic-wielding dragon rider had an almost spectral feel to it when I first saw it, which inspired the rescue plan Another addition to the series that Fates introduced was Personal Skills and each Reader will possess his own. The Master Ninja was the venom-laced weapons (which I see in-game as adding a damage over time effect to enemies he fights) and this time is a skill I've decided to call "Fighting Legacy". Since the reader's family has military history and the weapons he uses are passed down from previous generation, I see this Personal Skill working like he deals slightly more damage with forged weapons and even more with his own specific weapons. Another trend throughout these is going to be the usage of crit/skill quotes from Awakening and Fates. The Master Ninja used quotes from Ryoma/Saizo/Kagero/Tharja and the Malig Knight uses my absolute favorite battle cry from Awakening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC1cjxx9Um0 There is one other reference to an older Fire Emblem game in this story, do you know what it is? Today's special is a Male Reader Insert featuring Coco Adel. One word that I think describes Coco is "confident". She looks good and knows it, so the nice guy routine isn't as effective with her. Plus since she's so into fashion it had to be somewhere in there. Yes ladies, guys can go shopping for clothes too. (results may vary) Of course it wouldn't be a reader about Coco if we don't include that part from "Breach" where she and the rest of Team CFVY go to town on the Grimm. After being sent on a recon mission by Ironwood, Coco and the reader meet the next White Fang Alpha: The Defender. A bear faunus who, unlike most Alphas, is more on the passive side disposition-wise. He completes the first half of the White Fang Alpha set, along with the Grimm Tamer, Copycat and Dust Assassin, in the "Experimental Weapon" Division. The Defender wields a pair of hard-light shield gauntlets which also have offensive purposes. The left gauntlet shoots a ball of pure force and the right shoots a nullification beam, which can shut down almost any weapon for about 30 seconds, long enough for him to dash in and finish the job. Btw, has anyone else noticed the sever lack of handrails by the cliffs in Vale? That can't be OSHA-compliant. Anyways, that leaves the Weapon Master, Assault, Demolitionist and our final WFA in the more traditional "Specialized Soldier" category. And for those wondering "What about Adam?", I've dubbed him "The Omega Alpha" because out of all of them, he's the last one you'd ever want to face.
