Have you heard? I'm giving out writing tips. Whether or not you actually pick up some writing tips is up to you. Hold on. Please don't run away screaming yet. I promise I'll be nice. *Disclaimer: I am definitely not a writing expert and am always open to learning more.

This is about writing, as I think of it. Subjects covered will range from plot aspects to characterization, writing craft to just surviving as a writer. Mainly, Part 1 is a comprehensive list of things to do in order to create and maintain tension.

The advice you will find here follows the Chicago Manual of Style which is widely used by American publishers. There are some variances in style from country to country (and even from American publisher to American publisher.) **It may be easier to search the Table of Contents, as there is no rhyme or reason right now to chapter order.**

A story isn't just a bunch of words slapped onto a page. It's a living, breathing manifestation of your imagination. This guide explores aspects most guides don't touch on such as memorable protagonists, world building, character psychology, and backstory, and many more. It will help you flesh out your ideas and make them fascinating and memorable.

I'll show you how to improve your story with just a few tips and exercises. Writing a novel can be confusing, especially if you're new to it. Even if you're a pro at writing, it still helps to be refreshed. This is my way to help you. Hopefully it WILL help in your journey as a writer, and if you have questions, please ask me. I'll address topics such as: ~The five senses ~Believable characters ~Improving first drafts ~Plot twists ~Dialogue ~Descriptions ...And much more. Oh, and one more thing before you begin reading. I know there are a lot of chapters, and a ton of content, but don't overwhelm yourself! Try starting off with a couple topics you know you could improve on, work on those, and then read a couple more. If you read all of these chapters at once it may be a bit too much to take on! So take your writing journey as slow as you need, and work on it one step at a time.
