Mara Leone used to think being stalked meant fear. She was wrong. Fear was easy. Fear made sense. What didn't make sense was the full gas tank she never paid for, the broken things fixed before she could replace them, the coffee waiting on her car with her usual order written on the side. Macchiato. No sugar. Cinnamon. And beneath it, one handwritten warning: 'Don't skip breakfast today, amor.' Whoever he is, he knows her routines. Her habits. Her temper. Her weaknesses. He slips into her life quietly, making it easier in ways that feel less like kindness and more like control. Mara doesn't want his help. She doesn't want his attention. And she definitely doesn't want to wonder why the man watching her from the shadows seems to know exactly what she needs before she does. But the worst part? He has no intention of stopping.

#1 in Horror - 11/17/15 "Shhh, don't make a sound." I feel a grip around my neck feeling his hot breath on my ear. "Or I'll kill you here and now." He whispers as I felt something sharp on the side of my waist that was piercing the surface of my skin. My heart pounds heavily my breathing became strained causing me to exhale faster and heavier. We stood inside my bedroom feet away from my sleeping husband he pulls me closer to his body moving backwards to the hallway. I could only follow hoping that my life would be spared. Suddenly, we stopped by the edge of the staircase. "You're mine." He whispers in a hoarse tone placing a kiss on my cheek hitting me on the head with the back of the knife. I was seeing double. I was feeling dizzy, everything was spinning. I felt like I was in slow motion groaning at the pain looking down the stairs. That's the last thing I see before I black out. A/N: WARNING, there is profanity, gory scenes and mild sexual content throughout the book. For all you grammar nazi's. This is by no means a final draft. There are many errors and I'll get to them. Don't read if you find my grammar shitty. Lmao.

She was supposed to be terrified. Instead, she treated the kidnapping like a vacation. After years of hiding behind fake smiles, oversized sweaters, and exhausting normalcy, Naomi no longer remembers what it feels like to truly relax. Her quiet office job is draining, people are unbearable, and pretending to be ordinary every single day is slowly suffocating her. Then she gets abducted by a massive Russian assassin with blood on his hands and winter in his eyes. Oddly enough? It's the most peace she's felt in years. But Viktor isn't just a killer. He's a survivor of a classified government experiment created by the one man Naomi spent her childhood admiring: her father. Once celebrated as a genius scientist specializing in chemical weapons and psychological conditioning, Naomi's father vanished after a catastrophic incident years ago, leaving behind destroyed lives, buried secrets, and men turned into weapons. Men like Viktor. Now powerful organizations believe Naomi unknowingly carries the final key to her father's research hidden somewhere inside her memories. Viktor was ordered to kidnap her. Interrogate her. Break her if necessary. He fully intended to. Until the quiet black woman he expected to fear him looked around his isolated cabin and calmly asked if there was food. The longer Naomi stays in captivity, the more dangerous their connection becomes. Behind her soft voice and exhausted smiles hides a mind trained from childhood to wear masks, conceal intelligence, and survive at all costs. And Viktor is beginning to realize something horrifying: The scientist who created him may have created Naomi, too. Just in a different way. 🕯️

My eyes were literally glowing, there was no mistaking it. It was not a reflection of light, or any of the other excuses I had used or others had assumed. They were glowing a light sapphire blue color. It was not a bright glow, but it was definitely a glow. Glowing eyes were not normal. Okay, at this point I had to admit it, I was no longer normal.
