"I'm the sexy guy in school, and all the ladies want me. So don't act like you don't. And try not to make it seem like a surprise Princess because you just may want me a little more then they do," He grins. Why? Because he knows that all the crap that dribbled out of his mouth was so honest and truthful. Like Totally. Welcome to Adrianna Pike's world, where she lives such a normal high school life. She isn't the most popular girl in school but she is known to the population. A junior in North Lakeview and just trying to make it to her senior year with no problems. Then Colton Knight comes moving into her life, literally! All it took was a single bump in the hallway due to one of his numerous sexual encounters and it felt like they were joined at the hip. Not literally though.... that was until the Knight family decided to move two houses down from Adrianna's. Just peachy! Now what happens when the two people who just can't stand eachother are forced to cooperate due to their parents old friendships? Dinners, unwanted hangouts, and those late-night conversations up and down the street that leave them sleepwalking in school the next day? It doesn't sound like an entirely bad thing right? It is when you think you're starting to develop feelings for eachother! Journey with Adrianna through the heartbreaks, love, and learning things in her life that she never thought she needed to know. Four months. Fourteen letters. One small town and a pair of lost teenagers. If their lives were a drink - hers would be a cup of decaffeinated tea, and his a mug of iced mocha. Both of them without sugar. Bitter. But somehow - in life's own unexplained way - still sweet. This is the truth. These are their lives. And this is my story.

"I need you," he whispered from the passenger seat. Why would I trust a bad boy? But I felt, for some reason, that I needed him to. I turned to look at him, but he was already leaning in to kiss me. Why is love so complicated? Maya Reeds is a seventeen year old girl thriving on independence and drive. She thinks boys are mindless, immature imbeciles and has steered clear of the entire concept of love in general. Her single mother is not just a role model, but an inspiration. Leaving for a business trip to China, Maya's mother has high ambitions for her future. However, she can't leave her daughter alone for all those months. That's where Carrie Groom comes in. Carrie has been friends with Maya's mom for years, and her home seems like a harmless place to stay for the duration of Maya's seeming abandonment. Never thought that Carrie could've raised a bad boy. As Maya endures this temporary move, she is sent into a whirlwind of desire, heated emotions, and betrayal- all fueled by the boy who lives just down the hall.

Do you know how it feels to have feelings for your step brother? To want him, but to know he would never feel the same? How it hurts to see him with his girlfriend-the way he touches her, loves her, cares for her? The worst is to hear them having sex in the next room, only wishing it was you. I know that it's wrong and that I shouldn't, but ... I fantasize about him touching me. Making love to me. Only me. I shouldn't, but I can't help it. I want him. I want my step brother. "You're a Celestial now, and for you to become a licensed and winged angel, you have to enroll and graduate in Academia Gloria Caelesti." "I'm a what? And I have to enroll in Aca-where?!" "Academia Gloria Caelesti, aka Angels' Academy. Or AA if you're too lazy for even /that/." "And I have to do what?" "Pass the exams, finish the missions, gain your wings. Easy enough." When Axel woke up that morning, never in her wildest dreams had she imagined that she'd be crashing headfirst into an eighteen-wheeler. When she came to, the brother she's lost for more than ten years was hovering above her with the most brilliant pair of wings she's ever seen (not that she's seen any, save for some bird wings and stuff), and the fiercest scowl she's ever seen him give her. As if dying and getting rammed by a big-ass truck was her fault. If that wasn't enough, he tells her that in order for her to gain her own pair of wings, she has to enroll into the prestigious Academia Gloria Caelesti--AA for those who'd rather save themselves from the tonguetwister, the most coveted (and only) academic institution in heaven, designed to train heaven-class Angels of all Ranks. To graduate, she has to fulfill and pass a series of missions and tests with flying colors. Her major exam? 'Save the reticent musician from the bonds of his sordid past and transform him into a commendable citizen'... or whatever bull. Thinking the mission 'too cliche' and 'overrated', Axel decides to ante up the stakes by involving a rag-tag group of popular musicians, their stoic manager, a bunch of orphans and abandoned, senile senior citizens, and a prissy Archangel who has a strange aversion to cats. But of course she'll fall in love with her charge. That's what happens in the movies, and in the books, and in all forms media that she's had her grubby literary hands on. Problem is, this is the real shizz, so how would she deal? What would she choose? Her wings? Or her (non-beating) heart?
