This is the original, unedited version of Light as a Feather, Book #1. This book was the inspiration for the Hulu Original Series. The revised version is now available in bookstores throughout the USA & Canada from Simon Pulse. McKenna Brady thinks her junior year of high school is going to be the best ever when she's welcomed into the elite group of popular girls at Weeping Willow High School led by blonde, gorgeous Olivia Richmond. Prior to junior year, McKenna was known in her small town as the girl whose twin sister died in a tragic house fire, and she's overjoyed at the prospect of redefining her identity. She has a date to the Homecoming dance with Olivia's handsome older brother, and a good chance of being elected to student council. For the first time since McKenna's parents divorced, things are looking up. But everything changes the night of Olivia's Sweet Sixteen sleepover birthday party. Violet, the shy, mysterious new girl in town, suggests that the girls play a scary game called Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board, during which Violet makes up elaborate stories about the future ways in which beautiful Olivia, brassy Candace, and athletic Mischa will die. The game unsettles McKenna because she's already escaped death once in her life, but she doesn't want to ruin her friends' fun. It's only a game, she reminds herself.

Vicky is a 17 year old girl who has a dedicated mom, a best friend she loves, Leah, and an ‘almost’ boyfriend, Oliver. Adrian is Leah’s 21 old brother and the typical player. He’s not against the concept of love; it’s just not for him. When Leah and Vicky were growing up, Adrian was always around playing the ‘big brother’ part. It was only natural, after all those years, that Vicky and Adrian had a love/hate relationship: he was always annoying her to death, but she couldn’t ignore how caring he was. So, when Vicky needs him, like a knight in shining armor, Adrian is the one to rescue her. After a series of events that throw them together, in the end, well, let’s just say that there wasn’t much hate left between them…

"You're afraid of temptation." He said pinning me to the wall. "No, I'm not." I snapped at him. Who am I kidding? Yes, I am. He leaned closer nearly brushing his lips against mine. My breath caught in my throat and he grinned. "Your breath and your pulse give you away, Barbie." He said not pulling away. "I think you're scared you'll get hurt and you don't want any commitments. You don't take chances." "I'm a cheerleader...I take chances all the time." I pointed out shifting and accidently brushed my hips against his. This time I heard his breath catch in his throat. Now I smiled. "Who's tempted now?" "I'm always tempted." He whispered in my ear. There was a moment of silence where we just looked in each other's eyes before I whispered to him again. "Tempt me." He leaned forward crushing his lips to mine pulling me closer by my waist as my fingers got caught in his hair. He knows how to tempt people. ** Sage moves to a new town and tries out for the cheerleading team and everything seems to be going fine. Until she meets Aaron the hot bad boy of the school. ** #2 in WATTYAWARDS** ** #24 in FUNNY!** **#3 in SHORT STORY** I whipped around to smell the scent of pine, cigarettes, and mint. Amused grey eyes shined, and dark, shaggy, brown hair filled my vision. His hands were in his low, dark jeans, and his muscled chest puffed out of his white t-shirt, and black leather jacket. His smirk made me tense up. "You." I glared. "Me." He smiled. The one person who could piss me off in a split second, the person who was the sole reason I am who I am today was leaning against one of the navy blue lockers. The atomic bomb just exploded in my life. And his name is Roman Quinn. DISCLAIMER: I wrote this when I was a good 12 years old. There are plot holes, spelling and grammar errors. However, this is the first thing I've ever written and somehow I am STILL proud of it and the grateful for anyone who laughed. (Even if it was just once). Viewer Discretion is Advised.
