Catherine, unlike her sister, was never yearning for love, nor a dream man. She knew she had to marry, and it would only be out of responsibility, never love. However, after a disastrous ball, Catherine runs to the safety of an old willow tree, and there in the dark, she meets a man, who happens to be hiding for similar reasons. Though they can't see each other's faces, Catherine begins to feel a spark of traitorous feeling: Love. Will Catherine be able to truly fall in love with a shadowy figure, or will she keep following her responsible path in life? And the million dollar question: Who is the shadowy man?
