An alternate ending to 'Red John'

This is my official birthday present to KateBeckett41319 !!! It's basically a Jisbon story, but with a little twist....

(Jisbon) It's Christmas Eve morning and the remaining snow outside is beginning to melt. Patrick is alone, once again, this Christmas, but as usual he looks forward to seeing her. Watching her unwrap her present... What will it be this year?..

Before his family died, Patrick Jane loved living life as if it were to end the next day. He loved having fun at the expense of others. In mid-2002, Jane gets more than he bargained for when he signs on as a part-time consultant for the CBI. A romance.

One-shot. A lazy evening in the CBI office as the agents decide that sitting around doing nothing is no way to wait for a case. Jane's mischievous, yet childish, ways are brought to light and the team find themselves in various situations. There's general chatter and occasionally flirting, but maybe the consultant can take things a little too far?

Truthfully she was far from 'all right,' but she would never admit to it. A few hours ago her consultant, Patrick Jane, not only killed the serial killer Red John, but also made love to her in the department issue vehicle. Now he sat in a holding cell.

Who is braver? Jane or Lisbon? Most people would say Lisbon, and rightfully so. But what about in emotional things, like telling the other one how they feel? Then they're both cowards. This is my take on how Jisbon finally gets its act together. Literally...
