Kellin Quinn is a bright student in his senior year of high school. When his guitar teacher, Vic Fuentes, takes a special liking to him, he learns lessons in more than just guitar.

Alan Ashby is out of school for summer. He's going back as a junior. Austin Carlile, Alan's brother Zach's friend, just graduated. Alan may develop feels for Austin when they begin hanging out at midnight together.

Beyond the Barricade tour? Check. Bands? Check. Band members? Almost check. New Years Day's bass player Tyler just left, and they need someone to fill in 'till the end of the tour, that is in 1 month. They needed a touring member. Since there is a girl on the band, eventually the person who fills in for the bass is a 20 year old girl who enjoys life at the fullest. Rylie, aka Little Ghost filled in for the rest of the tour, dealing with only one problem : The fill in drummer for the headliner Motionless in White, Vinny Mauro. He wants to hang out with her, but since she is a stubborn donkey, everything he does is annoy her the whole time. He actually likes annoying her, and she actually likes being annoyed by him. Until everything starts to change. Vinny gets on her weak spot, making her pissed as ever. Will he be able to fix it or it's a lost cause friendship?
