Oh! This pitiful heart lunges like a dam burst When the desperate eyes catch glimpse of that dame Saccharine desires of unresisting lust That only place the guilty conscience in shame Oh! The mind that yens and pins of her mesmerizing speech When the yearning seems to devour the hope in a feast The lovelorn and ill souls do not know where to seek This comely woman’s stunning giggles in the least Oh! The moaning of the decaying heart when gazing at her eyes Eyes of ebony ink, and fluttering, mild eyelids holding glee The young scholars learn to know, that never prevails lies In those glistening eclipse-like eyes of enchanting deed Oh! What is this, an tempting stupor of intoxicating ecstasy The thoughts rotate and spin like tops upon the ground
