Here's another one of my fan-fictions. Imagine if Hiccup had mounted Toothless in the ring after he was saved from the Monsterous Nightmare. Once Hiccup was saved by toothless, his father dashed towards them with his axe raised but to the chief's surprise, they flew away. Hiccup flew as far away from Berk as fast as he possibly could and promised to never return because Hiccup knew he never truly belonged with them, the dragons killers while he was a dragon at heart. After Hiccup ran away he was soon presumed dead. 5 years later, Alvin the treacherous kidnapped Stoick to settle a feud. Both with Stoick and someone else. Stoick knew Hiccup was out there somewhere, alive and well deep down; but he kept trying to convince himself otherwise, and it was getting to be too long with too little hope. Then a strange young man shows up on the outcast island.

AU where Hiccup was raised with dragons in the sanctuary. While on a journey, he and Toothless crash land on berk. As they explore the island, they discover the village. Looking for materials to fix Toothless' tail fin, he finds the forge and during the night, sneaks in to get supplies. Only to be found by fearless Astrid Hofferson, who didn't expect to see an intruder. But what he shows her, leaves her anything but fearless. Hiccup trains toothless and now he is he's best friend , but when hiccup wins and is going to have to kill a dragon in front of the whole village!. So hiccup decided to take a little vacation forever so he goes to the cove to get toothless and to be on his way, he finds Astrid their and she found out about toothless and about hiccup " betraying " . Hiccup lift up Astrid to a tree and hiccup tell her that his is running away and he tells her that he loves her. And hiccup flys away .DRAMA !!!!! What will happen five years later? Will hiccup return ? Will Astrid fall for the new hiccup? And how will Stoick take it when he sees hiccup again but find out of hiccup special connection with dragons.
