Gol D Roger, le roi des pirates a eut un fils avec Portgas D Rouge du nom de Ace. Malheureusement, Roger eyant été exécuté et rouge morte de fatigue suite à son accouchement, le petit Ace, à l'aide de Monkey D Garp a grandi paisiblement (si l'on puis dire) chez des brigands. Et si loin de tout sa, cacher de tous, Ace avait eut une sœur jumelle ? Ayant grandi loin de ce monde de piraterie ...
