This is a short story I wrote based off of a writing prompt from my friend thorgirl1 (check her out, she's great!) The prompt was "lost precious." It's also an analogy, a different way of looking at God and the world. Yes, everything I write seems to be like this. I'm sorry... except I'm not. ;) Enjoy!

Rylyn Delson's life has been pretty predictable for the past eight years after her mother's death. She's gotten used to her dad being "clingy". But when life takes a turn for the unexpected, Rylyn has to face the reality of the world alone, with no one who understands. God understands, doesn't He? What good is He planning to come out of this anyway? Meanwhile David Ark and his wife, Mirissa, are just a Christian couple adjusting to their new lives in the town of Riverside. Getting to know the teens firsthand as a Youth Minister, he discovers the shy, only child girl with a hard past. Soon after gravitating toward her, tragedy strikes her hard. When they take her in, both of them go through hard times themselves. But God's ways are higher than our's, right? A short story written when I was twelve about a man who meets Jesus, and finds the Faith at Easter.

Fallon is a moody, depressed teenager in the aftermath of her father's untimely death. When her exuberant cousin Gabby comes to stay, Fallon is determined to ignore her. Except Gabby is really hard to ignore... This one is my baby. Y.A.M.S * was the first full story I ever wrote, and it's really special to me. Each of the characters pretty much embodies a different aspect of my personality. I'm going to post a chapter or two every other day. Enjoy! P.S. Jordan is a perfectly normal teenager with divorced parents, bad grades, a tendency to injure himself, and no interest in religion whatsoever. The faith-filled, exasperating, and curiously likable Grace comes into his life completely by accident and surreptitiously changes everything. This is it!!!! the big project I've been working on for months! I'm so nervous and excited to finally share it with you all....

I am lost in the dark, hunted by wolves, and completely alone... This is kind of an analogy for what happens in the soul during tough times.
