This story begins after the last scene of Bon Voyage, the last episode of the original series. In the time between the end of the series and the revival's release, I imagined things to have worked out differently for our girls. These were my thoughts on what could have happened. The first couple chapters give Lorelai her happy ending, then the focus moves to Rory.

What If Rory Gilmore was not a Gilmore, but instead a Hayden? When Lorelai gets pregnant at 16, she decides to give all custody to the Haydens and runs away to a small town called Stars Hollow to start her own life. Christopher takes charge as a single dad, and Lorelai wants no contact with her daughter ever in the future. This is the story of Lorelai Leigh Hayden.
