In an unnamed kingdom, a brown-haired princess and a Blackish and green haired pauper are born simultaneously. The princess, Ochaco Uraraka, craves freedom from her royal duties, especially because she wants to marry her tutor and true love, Tenya Iida. Despite this, she is informed by her widowed mother, Queen Genevieve, that she must marry the wealthy king of a nearby kingdom because their royal treasury is nearly bankrupt. The pauper, Izuku Midoriya, craves a different sort of freedom as he is an indentured servant at Midnights Carp's Dress Emporium to work off his parents' debt, but dreams of becoming a singer and seeing the world. Queen Genevieve doesn't know that the reason behind the kingdom's bankruptcy is her adviser, Katsuki Bakugo. He has been stealing the gold from the royal mines with his sidekicks, Eijiro Kirishima and Denki Kaminari, for a long time. His plan is to have Princess Ochaco Uraraka go mysteriously missing and then bring her back, thus making the queen so grateful that she will ask him to marry Uraraka. It's Valentine's day, a day of love, a day of heartbreak. Love in the air for some, complete loathe for the other. A normal day at Echo Creek University, the day I confessed and the same day I disappear, right before the eyes of my own best friend, Marco Diaz. When someone tells you they love you, you're supposed to say 'I love you too.' You're not supposed to say 'I'm sorry.'

I asked Marco constantly about their world's stars. He told me that they were bright, beautiful and gave the dark night sky meaning. My heart started fluttering, I honestly wished he was speaking about me saying that. I knew it was wishful thinking, but I still spoke up. My affection for him was burning bright. "Marco, hey, do stars on earth feel love?" He scoffed at me and smiled, chuckling as he looked towards me to answer my question. "What? Of course not, Star." I think I'm the first star on earth to feel love then. So much love.. My heart hurts.
