Trapped in Purgatory, Invidian finds himself in the same room without escape. He doesn't recognise the room nor does he recognise who he is, until someone lets him out with the condition he plays their game. As his memories return, he begins to realize what he lost. For the people who took his life from him, he promises there will be hell to pay. Davian is a reaper, as in the creature who guides souls to the other side. Only, he is afraid of death and wants nothing to do with his destiny. When he realises a guy from his school is being possessed by a demon blinded by revenge, everything will change. As a heads up, this story contains violence, explicit language, sexual content and guy on guy action. Read at your own risk. Enjoy! (This is the first book to the Mortal Wounds Series)

"Why am I here?" I asked to no one in particular. I clutched at my gut as my stomach began to churn, something poisonous was rolling around inside me. I shook the room once again crying out as my wings fought for escape, they ripped through my flesh out of my back. It burned like hot lava flowing down my back. Both wings swallowed the confines of the small room. My left wing twitched as I could feel the tear in it. The pain was unbearable, being smashed into the earth was nothing compared to the tons of pain of an archangel's wing being severed. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
