The door to the other realm has been closed for quite some time. The key has been disposed of. But sometimes people are the bridges to other worlds. When Itward's flying machine is struck down, Fran Bow Dagenhart is once more stranded in the real world. Upon encountering Coraline Jones, neither are surprised of each other's frightening tales of spirits and monsters. But can their combined knowledge of the obscure prepare them for the new evil that arises? Enemies and allies, new and old; will they be brave enough to endure insanity, darkness, and monstrous abominations.

She wants to find a way out to see her cat, Mr. Midnight, again.
