When Varian was sent to jail I was broken inside. Surely he never meant to do this much harm. I honestly don't know about him anymore. He tried to murder people. (This is my own spin off of the Tangled series and has no connection to any plot points. I know I used Moon!Varian as the cover but neither the moonstone or sunflower are involved in this.)
