With a heinous enemy lurking in the shadows, they find help in new and old friends along the way. Together when they finally find Hargrove, all isn't what it seems with the make-shift, post-apocalyptic community. People are turning up dead and for once, zombies aren't the only ones to blame. Book 1 of the Loner series James's journal: Hi, I'm James, now you may be wondering "James what," or. "what's his last name," You should know that I don't have a last name, in fact I don't even have parents. I'm 8 years old right now, but according to Dr. Savangi, I have the strength of ten men. right now that's all he will tell me Rex Savangi's Journal: James has progressed well, and he doesn't even know the extent of his power, to anyone reading this, you probably need to know the whole story, so here I go. Ten years ago, a research team in Chicago found a way to make a system that could think for itself. that is not to amazing, but what is amazing is the fact that it can control a body just like a brain, the only problem, is that when the box (called a syndomac) disagrees with the brain, the result is a heart attack. so far it has a 100% fatality rate. The team is going to start growing humans, which I disagree with, but I can't stop them. they are going to remove the brain and organs, and replace it with the syndomac. The syndomac is a 2" by 2" by 4" black rectangular box. it can be put anywhere in the body as long as it is connected to the nervous system, making these "humans" almost completely invulnerable. the only way to kill one is to either destroy it's syndomac, or drain their blood.
