She hoped he couldn't see the fear swirling deep within her. She didn't want to let him see her fear. She had to be strong. Then her fear was replaced with anger. Why would she be afraid of his reaction? Of him? She didn't do anything wrong in the first place. She was on the run, and if someone captures you, you try to escape. Rule number one. If someone should have the right to be angered, it should be her. She squinted her eyes and shot daggers to his. At her glare his smirk disappeared. With three big steps he was right in front of her, grabbing her throat and pushing her up against the tree behind her. She didn't see it coming and she couldn't breathe for a moment. Her hands grasped his forearm in panic, causing the chains to clatter loudly, but he already lessened his grip on her throat so she could take some air. Her heart was beating way faster then normal, but at least it was a sign she was still alive. His grip was more rough than painful, but she was not mistaken. He could snap her neck in a second if he'd want to. He must have had another plan for her, cause he didn't. Her eyes snapped back to his when he brought his head closer. "Listen to me, little one." His voice was surprisingly soft, yet demanding her attention. "You are mine now. Never, ever run away from me again, or you will pay the price." Highest ranking #15 in dominance.

"Evil?" she asked, her lips testing the word. She suppressed a giggle that surfaced at her mouth. "There's no way you're evil." His dark eyes softened at the sound of the humor in her voice. He ran his fingers through his hair, pushed a few strands away from his face and let his eyes fall on her lips. She was biting the corner of her lip, a habit that he was finding completely irresistible. "I assure you, Miss Cora, I am as evil as they come," he hummed seductively, snapping his eyes up to meet hers. "Nope," she quipped. "You won't hurt me." "Yes, Cora" he said, his eyes suddenly sad. "I promise you, I will."

Leaving it all behind, Scarlett heads across the country to live with her older sister, arriving with no money or friends and with no idea what to do with her life. As the days and weeks pass by Scarlett's feelings of isolation deepen until a bicycle ride and a punctured tire leads to an introduction with the sweet and charming Noah - a boy with rosy cheeks and scruffy hair. Forming an unlikely bond, the two try to navigate the storms that stir within them and the town, learning that often in life it doesn't matter how far you travel, it's those who you meet along the way that count. Hunter called himself an archaeologist, but he was a modern day treasure hunter. Tiyana was a scientist devoted to her craft. They were passionate people, wholly devoted to their work. Neither of them had time for love. Neither of them could resist it when it happened. Neither of them knew that the world would need the two of them to save it from a tyrannical pre-historic overlord, his cyborg vampire paramour, and their army of mindless drudges. Dawn of the Epoch is an epic science fiction novel about dark matter, death rays, nuclear warfare, and the Large Hadron Collider, but it is also a fantasy novel about medieval warriors, alchemy, and ancient gods. Dawn of the Epoch blends fantasy with reality, bringing mythology to life today. It is also an apocalyptic thriller spanning the globe from the Pyramids of Egypt to the heart of Africa to the majesty of the Himalayas. It is an epic hybrid-genre story with intense action sequences, magic, mythology, suspenseful plot twists, countless obstacles for the protagonists to overcome, and an utterly Machiavellian supernatural villain. Testimonials: "Probably one of my favorite books I've read to date. Brilliantly complex, adoringly rendered and quizzically intense. A must read and one I plan to revisit, and share!" - Amgwatts, Wattpad Reader "This has to be one of the most original and well written novels I have had the pleasure to read, on Wattpad and in general. It was captivating, interesting, immersive and above all, fantastic. I was left in awe of the beings, history and world you created. It was never dull, dry or predicable and it was a nice change from what seems to be the ever popular teen romance with vampires or werewolves or 'bad boys that are actually romantic good boys.' In the end it was a very pleasant surprise." -IridescentLies, Wattpad Reader http://dawnoftheepoch.weebly.com

Privileged. Self-obsessed. Born with a silver spoon in their mouths. The inner circle of Upper East Side royalty. But that stereo-type is only half of the story.
