Two Halves of a New Whole
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, October 1995.
George Weasley has always existed as half of a pair, a unit of mischief, mayhem, and magic known simply as Fred and George. His primary focus is on OWLs, the perfect Dungbomb, and ensuring Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes opens on schedule. He's never met a situation he couldn't talk his way out of, nor a girl he couldn't charm... until now.
The transfer students from America, Lyra and Castor Scamander, arrive with a disruptive blend of Ilvermorny magic and Scamander eccentricity. Lyra, sorted into Gryffindor for a brand of reckless curiosity that George finds instantly captivating, comes equipped with a well-trained Niffler, Hank, a desperately clingy Bowtruckle, Trick, and a battered case gifted from her grandfather, Newt, which holds an ever-expanding menagerie of magical creatures.
When Lyra takes the seat opposite him at the Gryffindor table, the second half of the legendary Weasley duo finds himself stumbling over his own name. With the ever-present shadow of Fred, George must navigate the dizzying confusion of first love, the strange companionship of two siblings who complement each other in a way he understands instantly, and the terrifying notion that maybe, just maybe, he has room in his life to be whole in a brand new way.
I do not own any characters besides Lyra, Castor and their parents
