Things are unstable at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A chilled feeling of unease has replaced any sense that the castle could remain a safe haven to teach and learn magic. With the misfortunes of the previous year behind them, Fred and George arrive to find the castle infested with bats, launching rumors that there may be a vampire at the school. Although the twins have returned in high spirits, poised to claim new ground as pranksters and as Beaters for the Gryffindor team, nothing is ever easy for the Boy Who Was Twins. The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher has it out for them, detentions are piling up, and with Albus Dumbledore gravely ill and near-fatal accidents occurring on and off the Quidditch pitch, a fear of death looms. As school life becomes more than problematic by the day, an enemy of Professor Quirrell arrives to wreak havoc and an evil presence makes itself known in the forbidden forest. A presence that will challenge everything. Will the twins be pushed beyond their limits when things go from difficult to dire? Who is the mysterious Alchemist, Nicholas Flamel? And how will the events of the year draw Fred and George closer to their destiny? =================== :: Updates for FRED AND GEORGE AND THE ELIXIR OF LIFE: Hopefully every other day. COMPLETE. One of my occasional writing practices is cerebral poetry. Just me, some great coffee, random orchestral in the background, and my very hipster typewriter that prints in cursive. Is there meaning to anything I've written? Perhaps. I find that poetry often speaks more to the reader than of the writer, and this form is more like art than poetry (hence the pixelized cover portrait of The Fifer, by impressionism artist, Edouard Manet). =================== :: Updates for OLIVER'S WEATHERWORLD: Infrequently. Unlike my other work, I'll be posting in small, easily digestible doses. :: Spoilers, overt negativity/hostility, and self-promotion will be deleted. :: MCliffordAuthor on Twitter/Instagram/Snapchat/Facebook :: Copyright 2017 by M.
