Alessia has lived her whole life in Ridgewood, where her parents grew up. She had a job at Norma's Corner Shoppe, where everything seemed to begin. However, the one beginning Alessia had always wanted was right in front of her. And it all started at Norma's Corner Shoppe.

"You should really tell him soon," Austin said as he walked closer to me. "It's complicated," I sighed, avoiding eye contact with the greek god standing before me. "Try me," Austin took another step towards me and once again I moved away from him. My back hit the wall, preventing me from moving any further. Because if I'm going to tell him and risk our friendship I need to know that I'm not going to catch you making out with some cheerleader next week," Austin leaned his head forward and nuzzled into my neck. "I want to try and make this work," he said huskily before trailing kisses up my neck and along my jaw. Initially, their introduction is awkward, full of long bouts of silence and the avoidance of eye contact. They are nothing more than strangers. Yet, as time passes, words are exchanged, memories are created and shared. A love emerges between the two that was meant to be unbreakable. A love story meant for the books to be passed along for generations, however, it takes a tragic turn as the young lives are forced to face the darkness that wants to consume them whole.
