Among the spared, magic chooses a rare few, connecting them to the moon or sea. These are the One-Hundreds, mermaids and humans with the power to save the world-or corrupt it. When Cressa-la breaks the first rule of her tribe and touches the water surrounding her island, everything she knows turns on its head. Talking, sinister dolphins, mind control, and a whole world just under the waves await her on her eigteenth birthday... but she never asked for any of this. All she wanted was to become a Tribe Leader and take care of her village. It's amazing how one screw-up can change everything. A relentless darkness reaches for her, wanting her affections for his own twisted purposes. In opposition stands a fractured light, haunted by a painful past where corruption eroded friendship. Unless Cressa-la can bring the darkness to his knees and fight the war raging inside, the world is doomed. • • • Content warning: This story contains themes of depression and violence.

" @nagykt "Reading this feeds my soul." @Yrthraethra Sixteen-year-old Mirra can see people's memories. She is a Shadow Weaver, one of the outlawed, glitter-eyed race feared in her land and forced into brutal slavery as children. She and her brother Kel have escaped their fate by hiding near the frozen mountains. But when bounty hunters snatch Kel, Mirra injured and unable to track long distances will lose him unless she gives herself up to his captors. As as a Shadow Weaver who's survived childhood and whose golden-flecked irises have faded, concealing her talent, Mirra's own value is priceless on the black-market. Taken to a lawless town in the northern territories, Mirra convinces her captors to sell her to a mysterious young man destined for the same province as the officer who has bought her brother. The young man is the Kingdom's missing Prince, feared dead after his escort was attacked on an expedition. He has been in hiding, waiting for a Shadow Weaver whose skill he can use to discover who ordered his assassination. But before he will risk breaking his father's law and taking Mirra to the royal court, he must test her talent and her ability to hide it. If Mirra fails, her hopes of seeing her brother again will be cut by the noose around her neck. COMPLETE #1 in Fantasy #1 in Adventure #1 in Historical Fiction ---------- Sometimes, believing helps us to see truth. Other times, we need a little evidence to believe. But there is truth behind everything; every false manoeuvre, ever little lie...a small piece of truth is hidden. Just like truth is wound into legends too. Growing up best friend to the future King, Arabelle never really thought her life could go wrong. Whenever she wanted something, or needed something, she would get it. Then she lost her father at a young age and Arabelle was forced into a world of dresses, balls, and lies. Being a tomboy, Arabelle would have rather been out on her horse doing archery practice with her brothers. When Arabelle gets curious and sneaks into a forbidden area of the castle, she discovers a deadly secret: her bloodline is sacred, dating back to a legend surrounded by the one thing she knows not to be true. Unsure what to do, she gets caught up in a series of events that lead to her being hidden and whisked away from the only familiar place she knew. After making some unlikely allies, Arabelle sets off on a journey to find the legend of the last dragon egg. Fate has something big in store for her; will she be able to withstand the pressure of it all? There is one thing Arabelle needs to learn to survive this new place... Some things are more than a legend. ---------- © Isabella Espe 2013 - 2019 This is a work of fiction. The time of Queen Arabelle and her companions has long since passed, and a new adventure has begun in this mythical world of dragons and heroes. Casimir Ivanov was born in a country, across the sea from Queen Arabelle's country, known as Altair. He is a master swordsman and an excellent smart mouth, but he lacks one very important trait that he is mocked for. Dragon rider blood. After running away from home to avoid being insulted further, Casimir finds himself meeting up with two Tionian siblings: Leopold Colburn, a renowned swordsman in Tiona and a future dragon rider, and Adaline Colburn, Leopold's younger sister and the rider of a water dragon. Leopold tells Casimir about an event known as the Dragon Tournament, a game designed to test if you are worthy enough of riding a dragon. When a mix up at the games occur, Casimir finds himself thrown into the games in Leopold's place and competing to prove himself worthy of riding a storm dragon, one of the most feared dragons out of all. Yet his fate is twisted before his eyes as he finds himself journeying with a group of unlikely allies in order to put a stop to the unrest unfolding in Tiona, a country that isn't his own but one that felt more like home than his did. It will take more courage than Casimir ever knew he had if he plans on surviving long enough to return home safely. ---------- © Isabella Espe 2014 - 2019 This is a work of fiction. (**Currently in the process of being edited AS OF OCT 2023 lol IDK how long this will take to rework but bear with me**) Set between books 4&5 and written only while book 4 was out, so please forgive any inaccuracies. --- Pyrrhia: a vast island divided between seven warring dragon tribes. Little do they know that the sightings of strange, tribe-less dragons that are so often dismissed as hallucinations or tricks of shadow aren't signs of insanity after all... Not far from the coasts of Pyrrhia lies the land of Grinnen: a small, rocky island with snowy mountains, sandy dunes, heat-seared cliffs, volcanoes...and dragons. No, not SandWings, SkyWings, NightWings or any other Pyrrhian tribes...these are the tribes of Grinnen. The once peaceful land is in danger. A war is in the making after a prejudiced Queen, discovering her treasury raided, promptly accuses an innocent tribe of theft and launches an attack. While fleeing for her life, a young dragoness who has been given a special mission meets an unexpected ally, and together, they set off in search of a missing dragon. They find secrets buried deep underground, and discover that surviving on their own may not be as easy as they thought... The Wings of Fire series belongs to Tui T. Sutherland. This is only a fanfiction. (Grinnen and its tribes are free to use, for anyone who is wondering.)
