COMPLETED ✔️✔️ ** "10 years! You have been lying to me for 10 whole years. Every single thing about you was a lie. How could you think I'd listen to anything you have to say now." She paused, lips quivering. "I'll never know if anything you say is a lie or not." Naima cried out. Tawfiq had nothing to say to justify his mistake but he just wanted to explain everything to her. To make her understand him and why he did what he did. Why he hid the truth. There was only one thing left to do. If she wouldn't listen to him then he would have to give her the one thing that would explain everything on it's own. ** "I'm tired. I just want everything to stop. I want you to be here... with me." Naima said over the phone. "You know it's impossible. At least for now. For your safety and mine. Have faith. Okay? We'll see each other soon." The person on the other side replied. "But... But..." Naima tried to explain but was cut off. "I love you, Naima but I have to go. Bye." The line went dead. ** After ten years, Tawfiq's biggest secret has been revealed. A battle for forgiveness and to make a firm stand with his final decision. Ayisha won't rest till she gets her way and Naima might never forgive him. But there are still secrets in the dark. Have you ever loved something to the extent that you could lie blatantly about it? In Jalilah's case, she had. She had loved ballet since she was a little girl, but being born from a northern Nigerian family, she had never got to be the ballerina she had always dreamed of. Did she let go of that dream? No, because she would lie for the sake of ballet, she would lie about being married so her mother could let her leave! Yazeed had never been choked up in a mess like this, but he had no choice but to stay mute and watch the drama unfold before his eyes. How would you feel to have a girl lie to her mother about you being her husband right before your eyes? They left, and she got what she had always been dreaming of. She knew she would love him someday, but she had never seen that day to be this close. What would she do? After knowing that their days together were numbered, she had to find another lie to tell her mother for them to find their separate ways. It got to the point that she couldn't pretend anymore, and she asked him the question. "Can I be your Mrs?" Yazeed had heard that question more than he cared to count, but she had never gotten an answer from him. Would he say yes and make her his lawful Mrs without her past life poking up? Or he would say no and live with the regret of not having her in his life? Which would be a topping to his already grieving soul.

Her heart was beating so fast and her stomach ached so bad. She knew this was it, this was her fate being sealed. " Zhulfah Bint Ilyas? " It would be weird to ask the Imam a question like " Hey look. There was a really nice old friend of my dad's pestering me to be his third wife and I didn't want to go to Ogbomosho and his proposal came along and everything kinda rushed from there, so does that mean I was in my sane mind when I said...yes?" Surely some level of insanity meant she wasn't sure, right? Must the question be a yes or no answer? Can't it just be a maybe? Something along the lines of ' maybe I'll marry him 'cuz my heart is kinda telling me to but my brain's answer isn't forthcoming?' Wait...does that even make any sense? " Zhulfah Bint Ilyas? " She hadn't had breakfast but she felt like she downed a whole packet of laxatives with the way her stomach danced weirdly. " Zhulfah... " " Yes! Yes! Yes! I do! I do!" She said a bit too loudly into the mic, and was instantly filled with regret. She heard her best friend chuckle lightly behind her and she wanted nothing more than to give her a good beating. She glanced over at her husband to be in a few minutes, and her face heated up when she caught him smiling amusingly. " I mean", She cleared her throat. " I do...accept him as...as..my husband." " Well, I think I'll have to speed up the event and legalize these two", The Imam joked and the whole congregation burst into laughter. Zhulfah's face warmed up several degrees, and she was so sure her face would be burnt before the end of that day with the way she was blushing to a severe degree. The Imam was still laughing, and she knew it won't look like a joke much longer if she had a scissors to his beard.
