Emily thinks she might be eternally cursed by the universe. What with the constant bouts of trouble that she just can't seem to shake no matter how hard she tries, and the air of bad luck that hangs over her head like a permanent gray cloud, she's got plenty of reasons to think the cosmos has a personal vendetta against her. After one particularly terrible incident sends her packing all the way across the country to the west coast to live with her aunt, she hopes that maybe she's used up all her cursed energy for a few years. Her hopes go unanswered though, and once she moves to Beacon Hills, trouble comes barreling into her in the form of a transfer student with glowing eyes and a lacrosse stick.
